First Beat Marketing

Two people. One focus: health tech’s first chapter.

A writer who finds the story and a builder who makes it real. We work with health tech founders at the very start, when the right words and the right site matter most.

Shoshana Kordova

Product marketing strategist and writer

Shoshana started out as a journalist, which means she knows how to ask the questions people don’t expect and hear the answer behind the answer. Today she runs Peel Product Marketing, helping B2B companies in fintech and health tech find messaging that customers actually understand.

At First Beat, Shoshana leads the research and the words: interviewing your clinicians, buyers and patients, shaping your positioning, and writing the copy for your site and pitch.

Ben Ursal

Web developer, designer and strategist

Ben has spent more than 15 years building websites and web systems, and has written code since long before that. He led a custom website build team for clients, from the first call to launch day, and he knows what makes a site fast, clear and easy to trust.

At First Beat, Ben leads design and build: turning your story into a site that looks as serious as your science, and keeping it running as you grow.

Words and build under one roof

Most founders hire a copywriter, then a designer, then a developer, and spend weeks passing files between them. Something always gets lost on the way.

With us, the person who interviewed your customers sits next to the person building your site. The story and the page are made together, so nothing gets lost, and you get one team, one timeline and one invoice.

Why founders work with us

  • Senior people onlyYou work with us directly, from the first call to launch. No juniors, no hand-offs.
  • Health tech onlyWe know clinicians, hospital buyers and investors judge you on trust, so trust is built into every page.
  • Priced for foundersFrom $1,000 at pre-seed and $5,000 at seed, a fraction of what agencies charge.
  • FastMost launch sites go live in about two weeks, so you’re ready for the next meeting, not the one after.

Why “First Beat”?

A first heartbeat is the first sign of life. It’s small, but it tells everyone that something real is here.

That’s the moment we work in: before the big rounds and the hospital contracts, when your startup needs to show the world it’s alive and worth backing.
